Iphone update 2.0.1

Image 201

Apple have released firmware version 2.0.1 which contains some bug fixes – especially the Bluetooth stack, also sms typing is quicker as are backups (no more annoying pauses).

We have now released our unlocked 2.0.1 firmware containing Cydia and our Installer.app, please login to the unlocking area for easy instructions to upgrade within iTunes.

Hi,Your phone is very busy this morning !!
    I have a 16GB iPhone firmware version 04.02.13G.
You unlocked it about 9 months ago and have used it successfully in Spain with my Vodafone minimum tariff sim card.
    I wish to download firmware 2.0 &; 2.1.
Can I download these on line from yourselves ?

Of course – just login to your account on our website!

I am also thinking of buying from O2 a 3G on their pay as you go,and giving it to you for unlock,p;ease let me have your comments.

Good idea – we can do this in-store for £60 or send you a DIY kit for £40

    Thank you,

i asked if updating to 2.0.1 i would lose cydia and the apps and videos i’d downloaded. your tech support suggested i hang on until your firmware for 2.0.1 was ready to avoid this. I did, but when i upgraded i lost everything. nice one. you could have told me, as i did ask clearly. I know its the price of having an unlocked iphone but it’s nice to be informed. Normally you guys are so good… lack of sleep with all the hard work perhaps?

will this be the same with 2.0.2, i.e. do you lose everything installed through cydia including media when you use your firmware or apple’s?

    thanks

After considering several other websites offering unlocking solutions to iphone 2.5G (V2.01), I settled on yours and presto, my iphone was upgraded without any problems. No regrets on my purchase. Thanks.

First time I tried upgrade to version 2.0.1 got error 12 and could not upgrade. It worked fine second time. I have been super happy with all upgrades and recommend you to my friends. Keep up the good work!

A quick message to people who get error 6 when they try the update

One customer complained that they get error 6 when they try to update from version 2.0 to 2.0.1

Its simply because they weren’t running unlocked v2! They had actually previously updated to stock apple firmware 2.0.1, but because there was no baseband update it appeared as though their iPhone was unlocked, but it wasn’t.

We make this clear on the website that if you DON’T have Cydia on your iPhone, then you can’t simply restore to custom firmware because you get error #6 and have to get the iPhone into DFU mode instead.

is it just cydia that is lost or all the programme installed from it too. I only have Flashlight (the cydia one is better than app store as it is full brightness) and MxTube from Cydia. I like both these and i don’t want to lose the videos i have downloaded through MxTube. They don’t go into the iphone video folder so i’m scared to upgrade in case they are lost…
