I have the first generation iphone which i bought unlocked , Some how i have managed to lock it. Now i can only make emergency calls, Help! How can i sort this mess? Thanks

Hi. Great site! Was contemplating purchasing your software for my iphone 2G. My questions may have been answered in your site but I just want to double check before going ahead.

1. I have OS 2.x now. Will unlock work when I upgrade to OS 3.0, or will I have to buy a new unlock package off you for the new software?

Yes it will work at version 3.0

2. What happens if my phone gets ‘bricked’ trying to unlock the software?

It’s impossible to ‘brick’ your iPhone, as all you are changing is the software. You are only ever a restore away from putting back default apple software

3. Can I remove all traces of any unlocking/ modification done using your software before giving my phone in to repair to an apple store?

See answer to question 2! You simply restore the iPhone using iTunes and all record of unlocking is gone.

Yes – but you MUST follow the instructions in the unlocking area

Need to unlock my o2 3G Iphone for about 3 months since I’m going overseas and need to use the phone still. Will I be able to re-lock my phone to enable full use with o2, and all the free services that come with it once I’ve unlocked it over the Summer?

Yes that’s fine – you don’t even need to ‘relock’ it, as you simply put the o2 sim back in and you get access to all their free services anyway. Unlocking merely enables you to use any other sim also. It won’t remove any features.

I have bought your software but locked it to 2.2.1 by mistake. I have been locked for months now and have a useless phone, will this 3.0 sort this out? When can i do it if it will work?

Yes its possible – this is the great thing about the iPhone, it keeps getting better, even one that is two years old!
