iPhone 3G PAGO
O2 has removed one of the barriers to wider iPhone 3G adoption in Britain with news on Monday of when and how it will offer its Pay & Go prepaid service for Apple’s cellphone.
The official pricing is £350 for an 8GB iPhone 3G and £400 for the 16GB version. This is an EXCELLENT PRICE!
For this you can get an o2 PAGO sim and then unlock it using our software (as soon as we finish the sim unlock) for any network!
O2 also cautions possible customers that the iPhone’s signature Visual Voicemail and on-the-fly call merging also aren’t available through the Pay & Go plan.
Prepaid phones will be available on September 16th from both O2 itself as well as Apple retail stores and Carphone Warehouse.

I unlocked my Iphone 2G using your service and I’m very pleased by your software.
Are you now able to unlock the 3G using software only but without using the simcard insert?,

Have you heard how O2 and Carphone Warehouse stocks are going to be for tomorrows PAGO launch? I am hoping to get a 16GB.

I own the old iPhone which I need to unlock to use other sim cards. Where us your store located in London?
I also plan to get the 3G version. Is it better to buy the contract version for £99 and then unlock or buy the PAGO and unlock?
Hi Rashid – its probably easier for you to unlock the 2G iPHone yourself by simply purchasing our software. You can do this now. I’d wait for the PAGO version – its much cheaper in the long run (no contract!)

Hey my question is the sane as Ric i have the iphone 3g on and i would like it unlocked could you please advice me on what todo … if possible i would not mind the sim

Well either we do it in-store (£80) or we send the sim out to you (£60) – if you have already purchased the software you get a £30 discount on the SIM price (i.e. £50 and £30 respectively). You can do it yourself but we recommend coming to either our London or Birmingham store and getting it done in-store. Process takes around 5-10 mins

Hi – I have been an IphoneUnlockUK customer for a while now, buying the original version 1 software, then purchasing the version 2 software. If I buy a new 3G iphone, is the unlock proceedure included in the price I have already paid? My version 1 was broken and is being replace by your recommended insurance policy when the PAYG iphones come out on 16th September? Regards.

Hi there,
Is it possible to unlock the iphone 3G? When I say unlock, I mean can I use any sim card from any network? I understand that there is a jailbreak process available which allows users to install custom software. However, I am soley interested in the unlocking process.

Hi Ric – its possible NOW with sim cards, and it will be possible in the FUTURE with software. Short term or medium term, who knows. We will be offering both unlocks. The sim one is a good interim solution, but its not particularly good if you are going to removing the sim card lots of times as they’re quite fragile. Great if you rarely remove the sim card though.
