I have a first gen Iphone. I would like to unlock it so when I travel to Bali I can buy a Bali sim card to make calls in Bali, and use my use apps and avoid expensive roaming. If I unlock with your software will that work? When using a sim card from another country how do I call the US? Could I use my Skype account to keep the costs down?
    thanks

Hi Christy – yes that’s EXACTLY what our software is perfect for! You can then use a local Bali sim. If you want to call the US you can either use the Bali sim and dial +1 before the US number, or if you have Skype then you can download the iPhone Skype App and make and receive calls that way (you will need to use our App Pack to be able to receive calls though as our App Pack allows Skype calls to be made in the background).

Tried some other sites before yours and they were useless. Took me ten mins to unlock my 3G this morning after an accidental update on itunes relocked everything. Been fighting with it for four weeks and bingo got your email this morning about the stage 2 being ready. Excellent stuff.
    Thanks

    Hi,

I have the Iphone 3G unlocked in version 3.0. How can i upgrade it to version 3.1 and still have it unlocked?

    Thanks

You must NOT use iTunes! Our firmware file which is 3.1 (but an unlocked 3.1) should already be in your account, if not then we’ll email you when its in there.

    Hi Jody.
I am about to buy an iPhone 3Gs, and would like to get it unlocked so I can use my vodafone sim (on contract with unlimited 3G) in the phone. I came across your site and am very interested, however I have a couple of questions:

If I use your software to unlock the phone will I still be able to use 3G and access the app store etc with my vodafone sim?

Also I am worried about voiding my warranty if I need servicing from Apple in the future, and “bricking” the phone.
Your comment above – “you are only ever a restore away from completely reverting to factory settings, which obviously removes all traces of the unlock (as its software)” seems to contradict what is written on your site’s FAQ – “Tested to the latest version – currently 2.2, an unlocked phone remains unlocked even after doing a restore in iTunes”
Also my cousin works in an Apple Store and he has told me even a software unlock will void Apple’s warranty.

If you could clear these points up for me I would be very grateful.

    Thanks, Paul.

Hi Paul, the comment in the FAQ about a restore NOT removing the software unlock only relates to First Generation iPhones. iPhone 3G and 3GS having been restored are totally restored to default factory settings and are re-locked.

Your cousin is correct in that if you take a software unlocked iPhone to Apple for repair, they won’t touch it, which is why you have to restore FIRST and THEN take it to apple. A restore completely removes any trace of the unlock hence the warranty is valid.

Regarding 3G and the App Store – absolutely you can continue to use these.

    Hi Jody,

Just to say thanks for the quick email response to my “are you a great company” message. I bought the your software, went through the simple instructions on my USA purchased 3G and hey presto all worked fantastically well. Couldn’t believe it. It works perfectly with my Vodaphone sim and my 3 sim. The 3 sim has internet connection too and all works great.

Just got my son an iphone from the USA so wait for the next purchase!

    Thanks again.

Hi, I have an Iphone 3G S and i would like to use my Vodafone UK simcard in it. What do I need to purchase to make this work?

Also will it still work the same? and speed wise be the same as in menu speeds etc.

Ur company sounds like it could do the trick! well im hoping so anyway!

    Thanks

    Chris

Hi Chris – you just need to purchase the 3GS unlock, and everything will work the same – including speed!

    Hello

I have a first generation iphone.
I’ve unlocked it with your software and I’m running
    iPhone OS 2.1 (5F136)

Can I safely upgrade the phone to iPhone version 3?
Or do I have to purchase new/updated software from you?

    Thank you

    Dave

Hi I am about to receive an unlocked iphone 3g OS version 3 from the USA. I am very interested in having the ability to “re-unlock” the phone in case things go wrong. I also want the security of knowing I have the support of someone at the end of the phone when I need it and if Apple decided to make an update available, that I have someone help me decide what I need to do, even if it is “don’t do it” ?.

Your software looks to good to be true and sounds simple to use, but just how easy are you to deal with. Are you as good as the customer comments say you are?

I suppose I’ll find out IF you reply to this and how quickly? I have not had a response from other sites selling their unlocking solutions.

    Here’s hoping I’ve found a great company.

    Thanks

    Ian

Hi Ian, well you are only ever a restore away from completely reverting to factory settings, which obviously removes all traces of the unlock (as its software).

You won’t get a reply from the others, no, that’s because they don’t have ANY support – you pay for a product which is freely available and doesn’t work anyway and they don’t support you. Its a joke really.

Feel free to call the office or email if you have any more questions.
