3.0.1 Released – Important Info
Apple has quietly released version 3.0.1 which is identical to version 3.0 but includes a fix for an SMS exploit (which isn’t in the wild).
If you are unlocked on a 2G or 3G iPhone, update within iTunes then run our unlocking software.
If you are unlocked on a 3GS iPhone, please see the unlocking area for instructions.

I have an AT&T Sim card on which I’ve tried to unlock my O2 3G iPhone. for some reason I can use any European Sim card and they’ll work fine but my AT&T Sim just won’t. I suppose there must be some kind of lock that they have placed on the Sim. Can this be unlocked too? The main reason I’ve unlocked this phone, is to be able to use my US Sim.
Hi John – have you removed the PIN code from the SIM card? The unlock won’t work with a sim card that has a PIN, so you need to disable the SIM pin using a nokia or similar device first.

Hi,
I have asked for a response to see if i can unlock the iphone version 3.0.1 as the website and the version mentioned only says version 3.0 I have posted the comment two days ago and no response for that and i am bit worried now becasue now i don’t even see that comment. Please advice so that i can make a decision in regards to go ahead with the purchase.
Hi Venkat, not sure why the comment didn’t appear – are you sure you clicked the button? Anyway the website should mention version 3.0.1? We’ve been ready since the day it was released (as always!) Any questions just call our support team between the hours of 10am and 5.30pm GMT…

Just like the comment above. I upgraded my 2G to 3.0.1 through iTunes and it locked. I ran your unlock programme, but my phone has reverted back to 3.0. What am i doing wrong?
Reverted back to 3.0? Are you sure? How have you ascertained this? Go to Settings >> General >> About, and check firmware version. Our software automatically gets you to version 3.0.1?

I have a 2G iphone unlocked and have a TDM-iP50 media port for it.linked to a Sony Theatre system
Unfortunatly it does not work. Could this be related to the unlocking software.
Your comments would be appreciated Please.
Definitely not – the unlocking software only touches the modem baseband and not the rest of the operating system. Speak to Apple or Sony (obviously don’t mention its unlocked).

Does it fix the problem that old deleted emails (also deleted from trash-box) can be searched back using the spotlight search-function ?
As stated in the post, the ONLY change is related to the SMS exploit that was demo’d as a proof of concept at a security conference last week. NOTHING else is changed.

I have already unlocked my 3GS phone with the 3.0 OS, on the unlocking area it doesn’t make it clear what I have to do to upgrade to 3.0.1. Which set of instructions do I need to follow? Thanks.
Slightly confused – there’s only 1 set of instructions per device? You just need to follow those. Its the same whatever situation your iPhone is in, our software is intelligent.

I have a iPhone 3G. In relation to update 3.0.1 all I need to do is install and then rerun your unlock? I don’t need to update anything else? Thanks in advance for the clarification.
Exactly right!

I have upgraded a 2G iphone to 3.0.1 and it would seem to have reverted to its previous locked condition.
Does this mean I need to go through your unlock procedure again?
Just run the unlock programme, will literally take a couple minutes.
